Digital Pictures
Nearly all the Photo Story
Memory packages are done using your own digital pictures. Obviously,
digital photography is a product of today's world and not that of our
mothers and grandmothers. Not to worry! Old pictures are easily
scanned and included on your VCD.
All pictures and documents are
enhanced for the best possible image to blend into the full Photo Story
viewing without the constant changes that can happen when using different
film sizes. Photos that are at least 4x6, are ideal but much can be
done with the smaller 110s of the old pocket cameras.
Old slides need to be turned into photographs to be included
in the package.
If you're taking new digital pictures for the Photo Story,
have your camera set at the best resolution possible. (That's the one that
will return the fewest pictures but the highest quality.)
Follow basic
camera rules -- have subjects lit by the sun, not the camera; stay within a
four-foot range to get the best pictures of family and friends.
Landscape photos are lovely but almost never the purpose of a Staria Melody
Photo Story Memory.
